I haven't blogged in a YEAR! 

THATS ABOUT TO CHANGE!!!

I mourn my blog a few times a week, its such a great journal...life is just WAY TOO BUSY!

but my goal this year is...

PAY ATTENTION TO WHERE MY FOCUS IS!

I feel a family journal is worth my time and focus...

2024 was a great year, worth remembering, so I'm going to play catch up!

 Christmas Day 2024

We told Jordan she didn't need to give anyone a gift for Christmas, she already provided us the GREATEST gift we could ask for...

Little Harvey Baby

She still gifted each of us beautiful gifts, of course.

This year, I did something Ive wanted to do for a while...

we went on a trip, and I told the kids that was their Christmas gift from us.

So this year I only did stockings...

I LOVED THE SIMPLICITY!!!

The kids all seemed great with it, or they're good at pretended. 

They each exchanged nice gifts with each other...

Christian surprised me with this, even though we said no gifts...

We started the morning opening stockings when the kids all woke up...

met the Day family at the theater for a movie

ran to Grandpa and Grandma Honeys 

then home to do gifts with McKay Jordan and Harvey!

Jordan has loved him for years, she introduced us last year...

I will go every time he's in town, he's my favorite!

McKay was supposed to be with us, BUT they couldn't find a babysitter.

Ainslee had to work, so she couldn't go.

Luckily Jordan was able to join, and Zac had the night free from all his concerts.

It was a beautiful night! 

Our family went to the Symphony Christmas Pops tonight...

IT WAS SO GOOD!!!!

 Grammy had a BIRTHDAY!!!

76 years young

Jane and I stopped by to take the birthday girl for ice cream or visit...

she was already in bed, 6pm hahaha

They said she'd had a busy day, so she was tired.

It hurt my heart a little that she didn't jump up to visit with us, Im not even certain she knew who we were at first, but I'm grateful to celebrate another birthday with the Queen!

I tell Alayna all the time...

she must have been way to eager to get in all the "trial lines" in heaven.

First husband serious addiction problems? YES, she says, sign me up.

2nd Husband abusive and terrible? Sure, I will take that.

Raise you two kids on your own? I can do it, sign me up.

Breast Cancer? Bring it on, she says

Sudden death of your kids dad, in his 40s? Sign me up, I will help my kids navigate, she says.

And NOW...

BREAST CANCER, AGAIN? 

She's not shouting with glee, but shes facing it head on, as anyone does.

But she is graceful, beautiful, discouraged yet brave and optimistic.
